About Inteligencia Galenus

A well-made system disappears from the physician's view.

It doesn't demand attention: it frees it.

Isometric illustration of ophthalmology instruments on a light wooden table: a slit lamp, a handheld device, an examination lens, a folder and a tablet, in warm window light.

Our mission

Giving medical care back to the patient.

So the visit stops being data entry.

The record, the prescription, and the invoice have to exist; our job is to keep them from competing with the patient.

Why ophthalmology

Where a generic record fails first.

Everything is bilateral

OD and OS, in exam, diagnosis and treatment.

Everything is measurable

Numbers that matter when compared over time.

Everything is drawn

On a standard diagram, so it can be read again.

The team

Firm ideals, immense ideas.

Physicians, developers, AI specialists, designers and economists.

  • Real impact, not demos that never reach production.
  • Full collaboration: clinical experience is the foundation.
  • Designed around the real practice, not a generic form.
  • Continuous growth, toward health without barriers.

Frequently asked questions

About us.

Who builds iGalenus?

iGalenus, a Mexican company headquartered in Mexico with operations in Latin America. The team brings together doctors, developers, artificial intelligence specialists, designers, and economists.

Why ophthalmology?

Because it's the specialty where a generic record fails fastest. Everything an ophthalmologist examines is bilateral, measurable and comparable over time, and a free-text field destroys all three properties. Building well for ophthalmology required building the entire engine well.

Does iGalenus work with ophthalmologists to design the system?

Yes. The clinical components —the retina map, gonioscopy with Shaffer grading, the IOL plan, muscle dosing in strabismus— came from working with ophthalmologists on their own way of examining, not from a market analysis.

Who backs the company?

iGalenus is backed by Google for Startups and Amazon Web Services.
